### mp4 videos

	mp4 is just a video container. it can contain various encoding formats, so not all mp4 videos are the same. typical today: 
	* mp4 / h264 (used to be very common and compatible)
	* mp4 / h265/HEVC  (with much better compression, smaller filesize)
	sometimes users complain about the video "not playing" or "only showing a black screen" on their system. this can happen when they're trying to play a h265 video on an old/slow device or an outdated GPU that doesn't support the new standard.
