Viro Thread 3: The Marcining Viro Thread 3 12/12/2023 (Tue) 19:26:33 Id:8fb8e6 No. 49889
Who knew we'd get a third thread on this guy
>>75892 I agree. There is always a chance a commission that's blatant fat fetish oriented can have meaningful and engaging story and characters but those are very few and far in between. This commission in particular does nothing with advancing any story, character, or has any deeper meaning to anything in fact. Is there any commission that's fat or weight gain focused anyone here considered particularly great plot or character wise?

>>75979 Yeah, and not to belabor the point but not everything has to be Hemingway. If you have a simple premise that's fine: keep it simple and breezy. Viro demonstrates that well with his new Slice of Life monthly segment. A single page tells you all need to know that the couple is happy and thriving. It doesn't need to be a 20-page long affair.
>>70573 I just assumed with her being a praying mantis and all that she would eventually eat him. Like isn’t that the point? She fattens up or fattens him up and eats him? Why not just make her a grasshopper or something if you’re going to tease and never go through with it?
>>76116 Yeah... Viro has mentioned in the past that he doesn't really buy into the whole "anthros exhibiting behavioural/personality traits based on their animal" thing. Do agree that it's a bit a waste (or at least becomes a drag to to have to explain it for fans/readers each time), however Emerald's blades also make her dangerous and a bit more exotic/alien in other ways. She's still an interesting character especially given the odd erratic outburst.
>>76117 And to expand on this, it's not like he eschews them outright but Viro can dip into those animalistic traits in a looser, "Rule of Cool" sense. They aren't hard rules placed on the character but can be played up for a gag or some cool moment, say. Ultimately the guy doesn't like being beholden to things such as "The character is X, therefore they must do/be/act in in Y"
Does anyone have the full picture of that pac man drawing he did? I dont see it in the folder
So the idea of a competitive WG drive was mentioned over on the faf thread and I wonder how Anon (presumably Viro fans) would feel about it. Marci vs Hetty, do you think it's a fair fight or would Marci smoke her? For me, it isn't a question of whether or not Marci would beat her but more just how badly she would eat Hetty under the table. I'd almost go so far as to suggest that Hetty should get a handicap - like a 1.5x boost (with Skylar providing the catering, his food kickstarts her appetite and puts her on a more even playing field to Marci with her home advantage). Even then I still think Marci would dominate but it would be a more exciting race. Thoughts?
>>76675 I saw that concept in the remaining FaFcomic thread and I think it is a really good idea. FaFcomic seems to get along with Viroveteruscy and may be open to Viro using his characters. If not, FaFcomic may be persuaded if Viro pays him a portion of the collected WG drive funds. To your point, I actually think Hetty should win in a fair competition. In FaFcomic's Hetty, the character Hetty was introduced as being a known Glutton with a serious eating disorder. After a summer of stuffing herself nearly every single day, she should be more than ready for an eating contest. On the contrast, Marci was introduced as a small High-School Sophomore. She only gained as much weight as she did due to Skylar's magical/demonic influence on the food her cooked for her. Viro had even shown in the good ending of IHHAT Vol 1 that Marci gets filled, out of breath quickly, and suffers health risks, when she eats a lot of food that is not influenced by Skylar's abilities. If this contest were to take place after Marci and Skylar have been together for a while, Marci would be rather large and conditioned to eating large meals, but may not necessarily be a competitive eater. Of course, this assumes a fair competition. If Skylar uses his influence on the food he feeds Marci, than Viro can make Marci effortlessly win against Hetty or any other character that has somewhat-realistic eating capacity. But if both Marci and Hetty are served the same food with none of Skylar's influence, than I think Hetty would have an easy time winning.
>>76677 It'd be a mild burn delivered by Viro to have it be adult Marci take on Hetty, to show how Marci has gone on and thrived years later whereas Hetty just dwindled into irrelevance, stuck in time. Conversely, IHHAT Vol 1 will be celebrating it's 10-Year Anniversary in 2025 so it technically would be accurate to pit the two together with the age difference. Now I'm not gonna get anyone's hope's up by saying this is definitely gonna happen - only that Viro was interested in the prospect when he mentioned it on stream out of the blue. But juuuuust saying that hypothetically having this be an event for the 10Y Anniversary would be pretty fitting~

>>76680 Do you have the fat treestar image?
>>76682 >Anonymous
>>76683 Thanks a ton. I wish she was bigger though but same can be said for a lot of things. She looks nice a nice comfortable BBW with a respectable size but nothing outrageously huge nor inhibits her much at all physically. Hope she gets her own wg sequence at some point. Dating a bear might cause hibernation tendencies to rub off even though she doesn't hibernate.
>>76685 Doubtful as to a full sequence but we might get some Slice of Life stuff in the pipeline. Both couples (Treestar and Barry, Marci and Skylar) look set to be close family friends later on in life. Skylar is probably happy to see such healthy appetites be invited to any hosted dinner party or BBQ. And yeah, Treestar looks just great at this size, with the long hair as well.
>>76687 I just want to see treestar transition from thin high-school cheerleader to mama bear.
Does anyone have the pac man image?
Anyone got this full size
Does anyone have the IHHAT: SECRETS - Ep1 stuff? You know with Caitlin Kelly, not with Blake.
>>77107 Is it good? I genuinely am not sure if the premise would make for a good story or not.
>>77110 The characters seem decent though there isn't a lot of content so far. The intro was fairly padded and Viro has a habit of over explaining things.
>>77135 Got any images you can share?
>>75431 >>75443 Update on the weight gain drives. Loona is now at $900, up from last month's $840. Vanilla has made next to no progress, she's only at $15.
>>77285 This is a scam/spam link. Do not fucking open it. Report and hide the post.
>>77284 I honestly think people just don't have money to give these days.
>>77288 Yeah. Viro has done so many drives at this point where that would be a problem, not to mention the inflation of pricing of offline essentials making it harder too. Should either stop doing them for a while or make the goals easier to reach without affecting the total weight gain.
>>77296 It also doesn't help that, at least in my opinion, it takes too long to actually get to the weight gain itself. The first few images are not that different than the start, and you get some belly expansion at best, before the last two images I.E. the "good stuff."
>>77297 It's because people complained about the weight gain being too fast in Tiffany's weight gain drive, which was the first drive Viro did. It made all the part 2s of future drives be smaller or made into stuffing parts instead of weight gain. Part 3s stayed pretty big afterwards, but not as big as Tiffany was. Loona is by far the least fat Viro has made someone for a drive, she's nowhere near as big as anyone else before her at 4 parts in.
>>77307 Figures. People whine, we all suffer. Disgusting...
>>77288 With all the best will in the world, $200/pic is a hefty price tag no matter how you slice it, particularly when you consider the content. I'd pay out more for his OCs since they are unique but Chica, Loona and Vanilla have been done to death. There's an ocean of content out there for them that doesn't have such a steep price tag. Is Viro's "unique spin" worth it? Debatable.
(3.49 MB 3300x5100 Chica_BONUS_01.jpg)
If Viro wants to stand out beyond just doing generic fats (stuff that pretty much bores him) it would behoove him to lean more into his twisted style a bit more like he did with Chica. Have more of an interesting take than "X character, but fat" I'm not saying they all need to be gory, but you can't deny that a cannabilistic Chica is a more interesting take, no?
>>77313 Not many of us get horny when looking at blood covered fatties.
>>77311 >Vanilla have been done to death. There's an ocean of content out there for them that doesn't have such a steep price tag. Is Viro's "unique spin" worth it? Debatable. Has she? I see a lot more of Cream instead of Vanilla. >>77313 >I'm not saying they all need to be gory, but you can't deny that a cannabilistic Chica is a more interesting take, no? It's unique, but it's not interesting. The other problem is that many people regardless of if they're artists or not, dislike gore. It's often one of the things that artists ban for commissions. The only people that would bother funding it would be the few sickos out there that do enjoy it, and have deep pockets.
>>54548 Viro, if you still visit here, what's your take on how the Loona and Vanilla drives are going? Loona's failed to keep the same pace of previous drives in terms of both funding and weight gain, and Vanilla is off to an abysmal start.
(1.91 MB 2123x1098 WGD_Loona_B's Honey_Set.jpg)
>>77320 The drives were experimental to begin with as they were mainly there if anyone was interested and I could work on other things until each pic was funded. I was completely fine with them slowly gaining any donations. Mainly, I'm interested in the audience's reaction/critiques to things like this. Character choices matter greatly as even popular characters can be tired as people have seen them enough times while lesser known characters too have their problems. I'm likely better off with my own characters as well as making a normal set. This has been a good learning experience and I've taken notes on what I can do for things like this as well as some reliance on Payhip's update system for those who have bought a set. Loona's set has been changed to a normal set. Anyone who has donated to the set should already have access to all the pics. The same will happen to Vanila's set at a later time.
>>77325 Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Out of curiosity what stuff do you plan on doing in the future either as a patreon only or donation or just because you want to? Any stuff from other series or characters you never got to do but want to?
>>77325 I love this board, you never know when the big man himself'll pop on by to say hello. I hope you don't take all this the wrong way. We do enjoy what you're doing. We're just airing out some.. concerns.
>>77326 When it comes to characters, I can pretty much pick who ever I'm interested in. There are a few I have on a to-do list though not all are wight gain related. I do have plans on restructuring how I do things, but that would happen until after I'm done with the current SECRETS episode so more likely something I'll start at the beginning of next year. Pretty much the last thing to venture when it comes to content is something along the lines of hard limited time content where it doesn't appear anywhere once the time limit is up, including not on Patreon/SubscribeStar. Probably won't be doing that as I technically already have with the auction artwork for the first set of the Underground Collection. There are a few other types of content I want to try, but I still need to work things out as they are more video oriented. But yeah, pretty much learned what I needed and will gear things towards content I want to do. Obviously, there are some series I've been neglecting so I've been working on making things easier on myself with tweaks to quality of different content. I'll talk about it more on Patreon/SubscribeStar in the future when things are ready.
>>77337 You're making it sound like the weight gain era is ending for you.
>>77351 TBH he is a guy who wants to explore new ideas and not stick with only one thing at a time. There will always be weight gain stuff, but you are going to see many different things before that. The guy even has his own card game he runs.
I really want more weight gain stuff but I also don't want to make virology burned our of the concept nor have it inhibit is creativity and ambitious he has. I do hope for new, more novel takes on the wg genre.
>>77362 In our defense, Viro still likes dabbling in fats. He can't help himself sometimes and just does fat stuff on his own volition, sorta straining his whole "I'm not a wg artist, honest!" claim at times. Sure, one could pessimistically state that he's just pandering to his established fanbase to some degree but I reckon he still enjoys it all told. It's just that were it to be squeezed out of him by unrelenting fans that's when it starts to become a chore and it comes out through the artwork. It helps to be creative or novel, not just "I wanna see more [insert IHHAT character here and make them fat/fatter]"
>>77325 Does anyone have the whole set or at least have the last part of the drive?
>>77393 I just want a that "creative" stuff separate from weight gain. A blood soaked fat girl or one that's very slobby is a big turn off.
>>77545 Seconded.
I always wonder if viro would handle a concept like fat prision, where it's a system where inmates are heavily incentives to follow the wardens orders which is eat the food and put on weight to get better treatment and freedom. Not following orders gives you terrible treatment and possible death from the punishments. It sounds like following orders has no consequences but in this scenario being fat has real world reprocussions where it leads to fatigue, heart failure, diabetes, and etc. All of which can lead to an early death. Warden can have a thing for fat people but also like the morbid concept that by the time a person gets extremely fat, USBBW, they're given enough freedom to essentially leave at their own will but are too fat or addicted to the food to do so, if they even live to that point. So what I am proposing is some thriller of a new inmate, probably female, on the clock to follow the rules of prison but try not fall into it's trap and be able to escape before her own body becomes her personal prison and executor.
>>77564 Whatever happened to liking nice things, eh? smh
>>77604 No one hates Viro fans as much as Viro fans.
>>77604 Viro always took me as someone who mostly enjoys darker elements in his works with the occasional light hearted stuff to shake things up. A lot of his stuff seems inspired by horror and monster mythos stuff.
Anyone?
