I mean, everyones got their thing but to me these seem kinda silly and purposeless- like tik tok lol funny muzikvidyo mashitup I chop out stuff like intro reels,boring monotonous segments of 30 minute stuffing clips, and other parts I don't care for. I've seen my edited cuts floating around uploaded by others(often suffix tagged with EDIT. 'ABC" "ZXC" are signify favorites to ease filename browsing) I convert- like the 2 gig leighton clip posted recently that def didn't need to be that big is now a file 5% original size. so many clips aren't shot well enough to include detail warranting hyper-quality. anudda example- fat gals don't move fast, why would I need a 60fps clip. clips with AC/fan motor noise, we know they need enhanced thermal solutions, but that humming is terrible sometimes. especially since I like to have clips with stimulating audio playing as I browse about. splitting the audio from a video, hard limit on amplitude peaks (fat slap always clips the signal), noise reduction to remove motor noise, compression and amplify to bring the general level closer to 0db. when I get real interested, I'll chop out excellent audio segments (sometimes by using a noise gate to remove all quiet portions of a vid audio) and put them as n audio track to a more suitable video.
