Was wondering if I could get some advice here:
My gf currently weighs around 470 pounds and is basically fully intent on gaining weight until her heart gives out. Nothing of my own influence, it's been her goal since before I met her. She used to be over 500 a year ago but due to an infection had to lose to 420 and has gained 50 pounds back since we've started dating.
We finally got her to the doctor after a long time thanks to her new job's insurance and it was basically as we expected - high(er than expected) blood pressure (measured at 191 after a short walk, the doctors were afraid she'd have a heart attack right there in the clinic before they gave her a sedative and got it down), high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, and she's waiting for results on a test she did for sleep apnea (she definitely has it lol). She's currently on pills for both high blood pressure and diabetes; they didn't give cholesterol meds because the doctor thinks she's going to try and get healthy.
While she does have some concerns, she was fully aware that she'd likely have these ailments and is still working to gain and has made no changes to her diet - which was already poor and is looking to get even worse after we move in together and she has more extra income. The one she has been more concerned about is her diabetes - she doesn't want to lose a leg but she also doesn't want to give up on her soda, ice cream, sugary cereal, etc.
Would anyone be able to recommend a diet or addition to said diet or something that would still enable her to get enough calories to gain how much she wants while also helping to at least get her diabetes under control? In looking at other posts about this there doesn't seem to be much advice beyond "just take meds and get your diabetes under control!" Advice that doesn't really apply in this sphere of feedism.
