She had Illya stuff her in the linker but got left behind when the building evacuated and Illya wasn't allowed to get Myu. Myu was forcibly ejected from the linker and left in a small coma. When she woke up she couldn't find Illya, but after finding her found out that the linker she had been in now had an AI based on her own mind as a result of the accident, and Illya was being forced to work at a blacksite on it, forbidden from talking to Myu and only managing their brief meeting due to there being no monitoring at that location. It's all but said Maia, Myu's childhood clinger, business partner for her job, and the one who provided the headset, set this up deliberately so she could have a personal Myu.

I don't dislike her at all for the purpose of being thr story's protagonist but she does seem like someone I'd have a hard time getting along with in real life due to how self focused and not so great interpersonal skills. Again I think she serves her role in the story very well, I just don't think I'd be able to be her friend due to bring unreliable and a bit too selfish.
