>>307669 I don't understand the issue. Characters don't have to be likeable to bring things to a story, whether its in advancing the plot or in being interesting, funny, hot, etc. in their own right. That being said, though, I think some gradual character development and/or karmic punishments are likely for both of them as this is long-form storytelling and having them be the same the whole time would be boring (especially with it being wg lit and their body changes inevitably affecting how they see themselves). Though if you argued that the storytelling already is a bit boring, it's hard to disagree, personally.

Honestly, the characters in DD are mostly mean girls who hate and look down on fat people. It's so satisfying in these comics when they get a taste of their own medicine—watching them get fat themselves and feeling humiliated. SDC has drawn lots of characters who stay skinny as feeders until the end, but I really hope all the girls in DD completely ruin their figures.

Here we have the main character who seems emotionally stunted, likely having autism spectrum disorder and I mean that seriously not a diss to the character. That itself wouldn't be an issue but she's gaining weight because the red haired girl is a legitimate sexual predator doing it not out of revenge or karma but for her own pleasure which in this context is cruel since I feel the main character just isn't capable of realizing the situation she's in. To sum up what I'm saying I don't have much issue of a character getting fattened by another characters less than good intentions but here it feels like the red head is punching below the belt due to the main character probably having a mental developmental issue which is not the same as IQ.

Kayla's personality was somewhat pessimistic and apathetic from the start, so it works that she would fatten up. But I dont think the weight gain should feel like a punishment for her being a shit/not heeding her sister's warnings about red head. Also it's preferable for her to be less in denial about the gain as time goes on and just accept it, so she doesnt seem like she could be autistic. Maybe she'll find out about red head's intentions to fatten her and not even care that she's turning into a land whale. Overall I do think this comic is interesting bc the dynamics are different than usual. It was very slow to begin with, but picking up. Should be a new page tmrw

Problem is that Doughnation took the slot when the other comic is also looking like it's going to be a slower one, meaning there's going to be nothing beyond chubby from either comic for at least 2 months at the minimum. She should've done it when the other comic were something faster like the Delinquent Girlfriend or Succubus comics, so there would still be some output for bigger girls since the fan arts from the Sunday slots aren't always weekly.

I actually enjoy slow paced comics a lot, but I also don't like waiting for the pages to trickle down. I wish some of these artists would wait and release this stuff in bulk more. Yes I'm a Kipteitei fan, why do you ask?
