She had WLS and loses weight. Her legs continue to get bigger because lipedema-lymphedema is a disorder of permanently growing connective tissue (not fat, but collagen and other compounds that exist between cells) with increasing amounts of lymphatic fluid. In her case, a full shift of work (she's a nurse) can redistribute 10 or more pounds of fluid to the inside of her thighs. She has lost over 100lbs of fat, but the fluid and connective tissue have grown to nearly match. This is why she appears larger, her legs are indeed larger but her upper body has shrunk and contrasts her lower body.
