Not to speak ill of the dead but you could tell she wasn't really getting any healthier from the weight loss, sure she was able to walk a little better and stand up straight but that was about it, her body was most likely not getting enough calories to work properly and it wouldn't surprise she wasn't starving herself to some degree, I had an aunt who was over 500 lbs who had gastric bypass and developed anorexia after the surgery was done, she went from 500 lbs to barely over 90 lbs when she passed, it would not shock this was the same case with Adeline, it was sus that the pounds kept coming off years after the WLS was done.

This is the first major death for me in this area. Adeline was one of the most attractive women I ever seen. A whole package when it came to the body. Her content was great and gave one of the best videos here and there, like the one where she devours the cake.She was hot and cute But with how much she gained at one point and then all the issues that followed.. honestly I thought she would make it through but if her husband was an asshole and you could always tell not everything was right in her head, all of these factors probably were the nail on the coffin. I had known her for about 4 years and gotten to know her better over the last few months. She gave me her number and we talked on the phone a few times. I came from the other side of her life, I didn't know about this side of her until maybe 2 years ago when she told me about her moniker and here I am. Based on the person she presented to me, I highly doubt this was related to anything anyone has stated. She did have multiple health issues related to some events that happened last year. She mentioned seeing a neurologist multiple times for pain in her eye just before Christmas. She was an extremely calm and nice person put into some insane circumstances by her partner. I don't think she ever felt forced to do stuff in this work because of him, more that he was generally a piece of shit and dragged her through some garbage. I can say she never once mentioned WLS to me, doesn't mean it didn't happen. But given the other things she did share, It'd be odd to not mention that... I can offer no proof here. Someone I considered a friend is now gone. Please be kind to one another.

I found, too, the obituary. It feels odd. I mean, I'm a bit fond of her for several years, she always been one of my favourite models. I loved her spectacular gain, and still liked her after she lost weight. I always loved her vibe and style (the goth gf vibe works very well with me). But she's no more. And the obituary, and the pictures, and even the mugshot, makes her more human, closer to me, or us, than she was as a model. Toxic me feels like I could've saved her. But from what exactly? Dunno. And she was so young, she's (almost) a month younger than my wife. I knew Adeline was young, but I thought she would be older than that. The "proximity" feeling might come from that as well. And maybe from the obituary wrote by her childhood friend, too? (Iykyk) It feels wrong that SHE (among many) is dead. Someone here said that she felt real, and I agree. A genuine and nice person. I knew three fat people who died of treatable types of cancer, that had all progressed to a point that it killed them because their doctors were all solely focused on them losing weight, first (which is literally a systematic, financially rewarded practice by some insurance payors; both when a provider marks that they addressed a patient's high BMI, and when they prove a marked change in patient BMI). Nonetheless, it's genuinely heartbreaking this happened to her. We were mutuals in a few places on social media and she was always seemed really chill and sweet, but seemed like she had a string of consecutive partners who mistreated, or were outright abusive to her. I wish the world gave her back a fraction of kindness she was giving out.

(It’s Bri) and just wanted to say, Adeline was amazing. She was intelligent. Bright. Kind. Deep. Funny. Silly. All things great. Just like a lot of us, she dealt with demons from a young age. That led to up and down mental issues. Another comment mentioned self harm scars. Which she did have. Some on her inner forearm and some on her legs(it’s been a long time so don’t quote me on legs). She never stopped longing to make something amazing of herself. She wanted to go into psychology, and spoke often about that, and her goals while we were friends 2013-2018. We hadn’t spoken in 7 years. But I checked on her IG occasionally. She is and was one of the coolest people you could meet. Love for obscure music. And macabre things. With a very soft and friendly personality/demeanor. Cool ass style. Booksmart and street smart. I don’t know why I’m commenting, but just wanted to add my experience knowing her as well. She was genuine. We probably spent thousands of hours on the phone during our 5 years as friends. She’d read me her poetry over the phone. And talk my ear off about human psychology. She was beautiful and proud of her Icelandic roots. She cared for people. And had a work ethic I was truly envious of. I don’t know if she knew it, but I always loved her, even after we stopped being friends. We were close during our formative years beginning to gain. And shared in that. Neither of us knowing how huge we’d truly ever get to. She was my best friend for my first 5 years modeling and meant the world to me during that time. We were just babies, not really knowing what we were doing. But she always knew who she was. What she wanted outside of modeling. And worked hard for everything she accomplished. Despite having mental illnesses, Mental illness never defined her. She was a rare byrd ❤️🥺
