>>278353 I liked it, but it’s definitely clear that it was a GBA game they refound and touched up the code for, rather than a brand new game meant to evoke GBA-like aesthetics or feel. A bit dated but still a fun time. Basically I just think they saw it as a holdover between Seven Sirens and whatever they’re working on next, which they did say they’re working on another game at AX. Hot new NPCs though.

>>278431 I think all the concepts that are still in the final were the only ones they didn't dig up and reuse for later games. Everything also felt pretty slap-dashed together and rushed, esepically that haunted forest level. If you ask me, they should've gotten themselves out of the headspace of making this a new entry in the series and just stuck to the guns of the original planning docs and completed the game Star Fox 2 style. Not sure if anyone knows or remembers but I recall seeing a weight gain gif of Shantae in the GBC sprite form on DeviantArt. She belly dances in front of her house which causes her belly to grow, she does it a few more times and eventually falls on her back due to how big her belly gets. I believe it was also the same artist there was on of Bunnie Rabbot parodying Sonic 2 XL. She uses her bionic arm to grab and eat rings, making her belly grow. She uses the arm to hit a ring monitor and at the end a large ring monitor making her belly grow more. She then picks up her belly and fondles it. Just wondering if anyone knows or remembers this and if they can find it. Thanks.
