I just want to say that as both a lolifag and a long-since burnt out former fan of Jeetdoh's, I'm very grateful that the archive exists and that someone was willing to make one at all in spite of all the sperging ITT. And I get why people are sperging out to begin with, because Jeet's fall from grace as detailed by
>>229049 is heartbreaking considering how big of an artist he used to be and how big of an effect his sudden heel turn had on the community as a whole. But it doesn't mean that people should act like spiteful little A-logs and spit in the face of a guy trying to archive his art. This should be bringing fans of his old and newer art together, not tearing them apart.
Anyway, my two cents on the whole debacle: Jeet sold out and sold out hard. If he wants to draw Transformers fanfiction stuff for a whole new crowd (that will undoubtedly eat him alive if his underage wank art ever resurfaces in a big way), then that's his prerogative. But that doesn't make it any less disappointing to see him throw away all the goodwill and love he earned from the community for being both a good artist and a seemingly chill, nice guy (and I say seemingly because I remember him participating in Bamboo-Ale's gay little Who Shot Hannibal thing, he's probably a cunt behind closed doors) because he decided that hyperfixating on a children's toy line was a good idea. Ditto for courting a community that thinks picrel is offensive, problematic, and "ableist". Something deep inside me says that chasing this audience is only going to end in heartbreak for him later down the line, but hey. I could be wrong.
I'm also annoyed with him for denouncing the loli art he drew (and later deleting it when he said he wouldn't) simply because it feels like such a slimy and cowardly move. Not the fact that he didn't feel comfortable drawing/enjoy it anymore, that's perfectly fine since people's tastes change and I myself have been wondering if I'll still feel comfortable with it three years down the line or so. But it's the fact that he did it not even two weeks after drawing some fat teenage Pokegirls, and basically kicked over the figurative ladder as he "left" the community and capped it off with a smug, performative little "I'm glad we had this conversation. :3 X3", emboldening the most annoying people in the community to police themselves and others in regards to the fatties that they draw, and making it feel far more hostile in general. I won't name any names, but I'm aware of more than a few big names in the community that draw loli and shota, but have to keep it way on the down-low because of the anti-underage sentiment that Jeet put into overdrive.
Anyway, I've said my piece. Thanks again for the archive, Sunslept.
