Let's just run with that. thats exactly what kip is doing. this was never hinted at. this was never explained. its just dropped there. all saiya had said was she had a friend and they lost communication. never spoken of again. saiya never said that she cared for her, she missed her, she would like to reunite, nothing. just "there was a friend, we played chubbimon... moving on..." now kip is trying to have aika lie into it being aika, when everyone knew it was tessa from the jump which explains how she became a streamer, proving that once again aika is a downright terrible person. i really think kip has made this into a study on just how long someone can keep a comic going with insufferable characters and a flimsy plot that they literally add more nonsense to with each and every comic. and you know the sad part? a lot of people keep talking about they just want this to end but the truly sad part is kip has learned absolutely nothing. so i trust that his next comic will be even worse.

Saiya explicitly states the memory and the friendship meant a lot to her, Aika's reaction and expression implies there's more to it, and someone in the previous thread pointed out the third person off to the side could be Aika. The obvious kid-Tessa and her angry reaction at the bottom could be a fakeout if Kip wants to go for the "It was Aika all along!" twist. The reason they don't dwell on it is because someone interrupts them. Aika could still be a lying liar who lies, but it was set up. Super shitty of Aika to say "It wasn't that important to me" though.

I'd just like to point out that Aika looks pretty enormous in the latest page. I'm happy with the way things are heading.

Tessa is losing feathers because people see her as a crazy homeless woman right now.

The feather thing: The bigger a characters feathers are, the better the reputation they have. So, Tessa's were much bigger than the others because people looked up to her in her livestreams. Saiya's got bigger too when she joined. They lose their feathers if they experience humiliation. This is Kip's fetish and just another way of visualising that emotion in their comics. Tessa shedding them like mad right now is because she's losing her shit. Honestly I kinda like the whole feather thing. It's not always super consistent but then again, I think inconsistency is the one consistent thing about Kip's work.

Speaking of Tessa... Hmm, despite the prodigious molting, her headwings haven't taken that much of a knock. Though who knows if the damage will be more apparent upon closer inspection. It wouldn't be a Kip comic without a heaped helping of humiliation of course. Conflict between Aika and Saiya is imminent as to whether they'll invite her over to grant her some sanctuary (though Tessa fleeing to "Burger Barge" for refuge probably isn't helping her image~)

How quickly Aika got up from the chair after eating a buffet and a half, it is obvious that Aika can already get up without Saiya's help.

The inconsistency bros... its the inconsistencies that kills it for me. Yes, I know Kip is and will remain a stuffing nigga at heart and the whole "unstuffed gut" to "stuffed gut" to "unstuffed gut but now slightly more fluffy" is his jam, which in its very nature will include some variance and non-linear growth. But characters go from looking proper fat to looking Kip fat (i.e. with a gut and thin everything else) and vice versa constantly. I don't blame Kip entirely for this state of affairs. The dude has 750 fucking pages to keep track of, after all. I will posit this: For weight gain comics, consistency is key. While I would like to enjoy the delicious humiliation, the belly shots, Aika getting cucked etc., the lack of consistency throws me off. Am I the only one feeling this way?

idgaf about the inconsistency so much as the fact that kip is making a multi year epic that we all know will lead to a lesbian fat threesome, and most of us are fed up of the wait for the payoff.
