Anyone else here into pokemon? List your top 5 lineup and why
>>57798 I guess I'll start. Rayquaza Mewtwo Gengar Arceus Groudon
Snorlax Jigglypuff Gyrados Blastoise Alakazam
Flygon Nidoking Charizard Aerodactyl Steelix Flygon is my all-time favourite. I still have my level 100 Flygon from my original Emerald cartridge from when I was like 8 years old (which I've since transferred all the way up to Black, which was when I stopped playing).

>>57798 Here's mine.
Why top 5 and not 6 like a full party Quagsire Cyndaquil Donphan Muk Garchomp Flaaffy
Gengar Celebi Deoxys Kyogre Regice
Aggron Typhlosion Garchomp Scolipede Arbok I grew up with the GBA and NDS games, and I'm also a big furfag.

I'll do Top Six like that other anon did. Regigigas (and the Hoenn Regi Trio) Gardevoir Kingler Octillery Volcarona Celesteela I know a lot of people hate the newer games and I can understand why but I still play and enjoy each gen. Even with how janky Gen 9 was, I actually ended up liking it a lot, especially Area Zero and the final boss. Looking forward to Legends Z-A and Gen 10, especially since they took a year off after the Gen 9 DLC. Maybe it'll help them cook.
Lately it'd have to be Toxtricity Hawlucha Excadrill Decidueye (Both Versions) Torterra Chandelure (yes, really) Played the shit out of Pokerogue for a while, gave me a good appreciation of some weirder mons. That and I was a Gen 5 Baby so natural biases are there.

>>57798 Pokémon is a weird series for me. I had Black 1 and HeartGold as a kid, but I never went much further with the games growing up. A bunch of my friends have always been big into Pokémon, though. They set up a draft league a couple of years ago, I joined, and I've been hooked on competitive singles since. Laddering Gen 3 OU on Pokémon Showdown has become a major timewaster for me - I actually just went on and got my ELO back in the Top 500 range thanks to this thread! Anyways, my five: Mewtwo (They put this motherfucker in Smash 4 and I fell in love instantly) Hydreigon (Childhood favorite, it's a tank dragon with three heads - undeniably sick) Skarmory (First pokémon card, somebody on the playground just gave it to me for whatever reason. Attached image also just happens to be the goat) Tyranitar (Toxic sand spikes baby woooooooo) Feraligatr (Big ass alligator - can't go wrong with that. Sheer Force is also hella fun to build sets with) I would do a sixth to hit the funny number, but I think these five are very solidly my Top 5. I could flip flop between a number of mons for sixth - there are so many good designs.
Just beat Bianca with a Tepig on a single digit HP.
Kisame here, I am playing Black 2 Darmantian- Easily the best fire type since it's not fragile like the zard and doesn't force me to select Tepig or Torchic as a starter Unfeazant- Very defensive as it doesn't brawl like my Swellow and Staraptor with it's offense being the wind. Ampharos- I just like it's goofy design and it's versatile movepool. It's just funny how it wrecks everything despite Nu Pokemon being 2 cool for school. Vibrava: I am not good at using dragon types cause they're so much effort and rasing it to be a dragon is easier second only to Altaria and Axew. Serperior: It prefers to delegate battle than outright fight with Leaf Blade being it's main offense and draining being passive. I think I used Venusaur this way aside from draining to heal.
>>58245 Pokemon flat out sucks nowadays. Really, it boils down to getting rid of rivals like Gary and Red in favor of cheerleaders, villains becoming incompetent and designs being rehashed. My Sandslash wrecked most of Unova and it's the weakest of my team.
>>58262 >it boils down to getting rid of rivals like Gary and Red in favor of cheerleaders, Hugh was the last true rival.
