BBW/SSBBW Models, minis, sculpting, etc. TheGuyWhoDidAThing 12/14/2025 (Sun) 23:22:16 Id:ad7196 No. 75212
Hey, any other degens here fuck with 3d printing? Or does anyone else have/collect plus sized figurines or anything? I've become fascinated with the idea and have been painting and printing up a storm lately just to try. Am I alone in this? Also, please don't judge my painting too harshly. it's been years since I picked up a paintbrush, but this actually kicked me back into the hobby.
>>75212 The red bikini is the best one by far, shelf figures are perfect for this thanks to the lower center of gravity. Your models are a hell of a lot smoother and more appealing than that weirdo who insisted on molding fat to his Evil-lyn and Baroness figures.
you should sand your prints before painting them! can be tedious but it will help them look a lot more smooth

>>75220 Oh dang, I never encountered that. Gotta admit, now I'm curious. What did they wind up looking like? And believe it or not, the sitting model is what kicked all of this off. I was gifted a noodle topper of 2B recently. (for those who don't know, noodle toppers are models that are usually in a sitting pose designed to be placed on top of a cup of instant noodles; the model looks amusing sitting on the ledge while it weighs the paper lid down as the noodles steep in hot water) I got to thinking how an SSBBW would be the ideal character to be a noodle topper, and that thought sent me on a spiral of research (next to nothing exists) and then spurred me to make stuff. Full disclosure: I used a few character references that I fed into a multi-view model generation tool (stick in front back and side images, receive 3d model) that I then *heavily* (heh) edited. So, AI was used somewhat in the creation of that model, but there's a ton of human touch as well. The other two were existing models that I just gave significant enhancements to. I'm still learning 3D character design, but it's a slow process. Pic related, upcoming print.
>>75224 To be fair, I have tried that before but the results were sub-optimal. I still sand down the areas that have direct contact with the plate and support interfaces, though. Additionally, these have all been test prints and paint jobs. Like I said, I haven't painted a model or mini in 12+ years at this point, so I'm still getting back into the swing of things. I just wanted to get a handful of these things in my hands so I had something to practice on that I also enjoyed looking at. Once I feel a bit more confident in my skills, I'll be switching to a .2mm nozzle with .1 or .08 layer height. The stuff I've printed like that has come out smoooooth as butter with only minor issues around support interfaces and whatnot. Way simpler to sand and smooth. It just takes 12-14 hours per model at the scale I'm printing these at, so I didn't want to commit to that long of a print job just for me to completely botch the paint job right out the gate. Plus I'm also printing a bunch of stuff for Christmas, so print time is at a premium.
How many vaccines does a person have to take to get this kind of hardcore autism?

https://www.instagram.com/p/BmychpSBZ-T/ The finest fat sculptor I've seen. Unfortunately he's elusive.
>>75225 >What did they wind up looking like? He's since vanished from the earth and all images seem to have been scrubbed from the web. The figures were disgustingly wrinkled in very odd ways, like imagine a partial liposuction that left loose skin on only half of a woman's belly. It was like he was trying to sculpt the figures as if they were floating underwater and gave up half-way. >References and ai Neither of those are a problem since you're using the former for proper research and the latter like the tool that it is to increase your productivity.
>>75262 Oh my god. Oh my GOD. I have such a long way to go, but goddamn do I have a goal now. >>75257 Hmmm... interesting. >>75263 That sounds awful and now I really want to see it. And thank you for the kind words. Pic related, more progress.
