If you've ever come across a BBW or SSBBW model in person, tell us about what you saw. Was she bigger or smaller in person than what you'd expect? What stood out to you? I'll start - I've seen both Asshley and BigCutie Demi in person. Both times were years ago, during their active modeling days, and they both lived in the same general area as me (near Philadelphia). I saw Asshley at a Wawa in south Jersey. Belly wasn't quite as noticeable in person, but her ass was a total different story. Easily one of the biggest I've ever seen. I didn't want to be a creep and stare at her, but I did notice that she walked with a fairly pronounced waddle which caused her ass to jiggle pretty significantly. Not surprising given she was probably around her peak weight well over 350 pounds at the time. Demi I saw at an Eagles game circa about 2013 or 2014, which I believe was around the end of her BC days or just after she retired. She was short and extremely round. Her ass was about the same as it looked online, but her belly was much more pronounced. If I had to guess, probably somewhere around 375 pounds or so. She had an Eagles jersey on and it was visibly very tight around her gut. And no, I didn't approach either one or try to take pics or any of that creepy shit. I just went on with my day carrying a mental image that I still haven't forgotten.

I saw Layla in person at the BBW Bash in Vegas, and she didn’t look as big in person as she does in her pictures. Her friend Kaybearcutie was also there, and she looked even better in person and was noticeably bigger than Layla by comparison. What stood out to me about Layla was that she just isn’t as big in real life as she appears online, which was a bit disappointing. Kaybearcutie and her best friend Mileydy both looked better in person than what I’ve seen of them online and they already look good online. Those were the biggest names I recognized at the bash. There were other attractive women I saw in person too, but none that I knew by name. I didn’t approach them, but I got close enough to see for myself how big they were in person.

I saw Asshley too, in NYC around 15 years ago. It happened to be the day of the Gay Pride parade, which is maybe why she took the trip from South NJ. I was taking my niece to Penn Station to put her on a train after her visit. We were going down the elevator and I saw this gigantic brunette pear in jeans and a pride-friendly t-shirt coming up. I was totally enthralled but I didn’t realize it was her til she was maybe 20’ away and we shared a look — she knew she’d been recognized and smiled. I’d have said something to her (I love your work? Lol) except I was with my 17yo niece and it would have been awkward to explain to her mom. She looked a lot bigger in person, and the difference between her upper and lower body more pronounced. The other encounter was more obscure, a tall SSBBW brunette who went by She Rolls with Rolls. She showed up a couple times on My Big Fat Fabulous Life and was a model for Adipositivity and such rather than a paysite model. Anyway I met her at a BBW meetup, the same time frame and again here in NYC. She was more attractive in person but oddly didn’t seem as imposing as her pics suggest, even though she’s very tall.

If they’re not your type, that’s completely your right but there’s no reason to go out of your way to insult them. At the end of the day, confidence isn’t built by putting others down. It’s shown by having enough self respect to keep your opinions constructive or to keep them to yourself when they’re not.
