> favorite checkpoints
switching between GAME & aurora (mostly game!), same as you.
GAME just does {{{huge}}} effortlessly and I'm in fucking love. Aurora doesn't go as huge but still goes pretty big and is the better checkpoint in basically every other regard, especially faces, poses, backgrounds, variety, and styles
And on occasion I'll use one of the GAME mixes
> What should be the default "start here" checkpoint, as of now?
I'd say aurora is the better default just because of how much higher quality it is by default while still doing great fats & a variety of other things. If you do pick it, include the huggingface link to the non-bbw aurora, it has documentation https://huggingface.co/SweetLuna/Aurora
> one thing I wish I knew earlier
the importance of real launch arguments. Free performance & better resolutions if you're willing to do some trial and error to find what works for you
> what I'd change
I'd change the artist style guide to use fat artists instead of traditional artists. Or use it to showcase what loras can do to style & concepts & size since loras don't have any example images and they effect the image way more than prompting a classical artist
> what I'd add
a section just for VAEs. more specifically, images for what no vae looks like vs some popular vaes
also more advanced inpainting guides. fixing bad anatomy, double navels, adding multiple characters, sequences, slime, tubes, stuff like that. Maybe a guide for using latent couple and multidiffusion. A list of extensions would also be good.
but the thread is open for posts so we could also just make them ourselves
> How do you feel about animation at this point?
Unbearably difficult, but now that controlnet and more samplers and the merges have dropped, now's the best time to try getting back into it. I made a few expansions and weight gains but I deleted them without posting because I thought they were mediocre
