I’d be glad to help! When you get down to it, the most important tools to use are Lasso/Pen, Eraser, and Move. The most important commands to use are Control-C, Control-V, and Control-X.
Most beginners work with the single layer, warping the background along with the subject. For that problem, pasting to new layers and duplicating layers is the solution. That can be accessed via the Layers menu.
The basic pattern is as follows:
>Select
>Copy/Paste to New Layer
>Select/Cut/Paste specific body parts
to New Layers (optional)
>Open Menu to find Filters
>Select Elastify
>Have Fun!
Oh, and one more thing! Start with Smudge, then expand or shrink for more 3D effects. If you’re feeling lost, search up some tutorials.
