Hey all. I blew a bunch of money on Seedance 2.5 and made this ~7 minute long short film. I wanted to try to do a more cinematic and psychological take on weight gain. It's far from perfect, scenes aren't always consistent between shots, so you'll need to suspend your disbelief a bit. There was actually a proper ending that I ended up deciding to cut as well. Criticism welcome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SScoAotPN38
This was great. When it comes to AI weight gain content, the videos usually last 30-60 seconds and simply show the WG. But your longer form video lended itself to present a narrative and was quite cool to watch. As a minor criticism, I would say that the ending was too abrupt, just a few more seconds with a bit of dialogue after the transformation could have wrapped everything up nicely.
Would actually like to see the cut content
This was awesome and I hope you enjoyed the process of making it enough to consider making more some day! Out of curiosity, what does "a bunch of money" look like in this context?
>>43915 I’m not OP but i’ve dabbled enough in this to know the cost. Depends on the quality of the video and how long each part is. Also depending on the platform, u might be able to do it cheaper if you pay annual subscriptions that come with daily tokens and slowly churn out extensions day by day at no added cost. But if u want both quality and maximum clip length, u probably have to buy credits which is usually the expensive path.
>>43915 200 bucks altogether, but it was spent super inefficiently while trying things out. Which is also why I cut the ending, I used a tiktoker as a reference but I thought it wouldn't be appropriate to include her likeness in this, and then ran out of budget after finishing all the shots. If money was no object I'd do a feature film haha
How were you planning on ending it, just out of curiosity? And to echo the others, super impressive compared to the usual production, well done.
Damn, this is impressive and makes me want to try making something of a similar length. What platform did you end up using? I've dabbled with Higgsfield and am currently messing with Oxen for Seedance 2.5 gens, but it's about $3.75 per 15 second gen in 720p. Really curious about your workflow to maintain consistency across adjacent scenes, how long your clips were, etc. In terms of notes I'd say that the horror atmosphere you went for really worked. Some of the dialogue in the beginning is repetitive and like others said I wish we saw more after the second transformation, but overall this looks really good.
>>43929 We see them meet, fall for each other all over again, get married, and buy a house. In the last scene they kiss while it's snowing outside, and the camera slowly pulls back out of the window to reveal a "missing person" poster on a pole outside for the original girl. And thanks! >>43937 Thanks, it was all on Oxen with 30 second clips, 480p, 720 really isn't necessary and it cuts your cost in half. The workflow could have been better, the way you're supposed to do it is by feeding the previous scenes in as reference but in the interest of time I just didn't, which is why there's some visual discontinuity; I'm hoping that it's papered over by a first watcher not looking for details too much. If you're going to make something, my tip is to be super specific in your instructions, liberally use image references, and do small chunks of dialog per 30 second scene. If you pack in a bunch of lines, the result rushes through the dialog very unnaturally, it just flows way better if the lines can breathe.
Hard to tell if is good, as youtube delete it. Do you gonna upload somethere else?
