Their obviously burnt out from the comic but in too deep to stop cause a vast majority of the patrons are just there for the comic. I agree that as time goes on the gaps in time between page releases will grow more and more

I honestly didn’t know belt was remaking some pages of the comic hell ngl I like it and the art improved a lot. Are there any more or was that it?

What usually happens is that most artist make smaller comics until one of the small comics blows up and then they throw the rest away just to focus on that comic that blew up to them just milk it dry.

Posting some of my favorite panels from the comic now that he's posting "improved" versions. Emma is at her best when she's bloated and gassy (and when she has the ojou-sama peekaboo bang hair), really hoping she gets preggo and her belly stays nice and round even as she gets heavier. Meanwhile, I'm not the biggest Tanya fan, but those panels are what got me watching this comic. The familiar fat gut, and newly fattened ass. I'm curious, what are the general thoughts on the way the artstyle has developed? It's certainly cleaner, but I feel it was more consistently hot in the older days. I think the noses especially feel more pig like sometimes recently, and I can't say I'm into it. Part of it might just be that the girls are growing out of my ideal weight zone tho.

The other mystery is the motivation and social connections of the weight gain cult (more on that later). From different characters that were present during scenes that the blue character was also present in, it can be deduced that the blue character is not Nikolia, Emma, Tanya, Nina, Mari, Elijas, Kia, Lene, Andre, Mine, Tine, Marianne, or Sarah (apparently Nikolia's ex-girlfriend who Nikolia has not spoken to since middle school). The blue character had always appeared slim, so assuming that Belt Bluster is not using visual trickery (basically lying), the character is not any of the plus-sized models in either Elija's modeling agency or the weight gain cult. While this character was usually referenced in the comic with non-specific, gender neutral terms, this character once speaks with Emma over a voice chat with the alias Dyriad, refers to *them-self as a "woman", and presumably has a feminine voice (although, that could just be the use of voice acting and a voice changer). My guess is that the blue character was Maja (Sarah's sister) the whole time. If that is wrong, then my second guess is that the blue character was either a currently unnamed, or otherwise barely relevant character who will later be revealed to be working for the weight gain cult. Regardless of my predictions, the identity of the blue character has been lingering for most of the comic, and the comic apparently has had no progress on that plot point ever since. Either this will lead to some sort of major reveal by the end of the comic, or is just another lose plot point that will never get any meaningful resolution. As for the weight gain cult, I just think that it was a weak idea. As I already mentioned in the last thread, there was already plenty of mystery elements with the bully exposer group (so far known to consist of Kia, Maja, Sarah, recently Nina, and was once given assistance by Elijas), and whatever both Elijas and Marianne have going on in secret with their own plus-sized modeling agency. The additional inclusion of the weight gain cult just seemed unnecessary for this young-adult, weight-gain themed romance drama. This puts Belt Buster in a tough spot because now his seemingly best choices are to either dedicate even more pages focusing on the weight-gain cult to have some sort of narrative payoff for the effort that was put into it, or to just drop the entire plot point as it is. I don't think Nikolia being unaware of all these plot points is necessarily bad writing. There is plenty of quality story media where the main character is unaware of key information that the audience and other characters know. The narrative payoff is how the main character interacts with other characters before becoming aware. I think the writing of The Domino Effect so far, overall is more than decent enough. While shifting the focus of the comic away from weight gain to a slow-burn romance drama with mystery elements was inevitably going to disappoint some fans, I think that makes the story more interesting. As many others have previously speculated, what I think is really killing attention of the comic is the abysmally slow upload schedule. This comic includes many extended scenes such as the exclusive New Years Eve dinner that Nikolia and Emma attended, the skiing incident with the American Tourist and his two American buddies (who, IMO, were ironically the funniest characters in the comic due to how they were handled), and then yet another party scene. Such slow plot progression, while fine enough on its own, only exacerbates Belt Buster's slow upload schedule. It appears that the slowness is at least partly due to Belt Buster being jaded of making The Domino Effect for a long time. He seems to be more interested in both his other shorter form comic and his regular individual artwork. Still, from what I have seen, I strongly suspect that The Domino Effect is nearly completed, and that Belt Buster has long ago planned out the rest of the story. At this point, perhaps if Belt Buster had the motivation, he could push himself to finish this very long comic in the way he had intended (and not rush it) during the following months, and then finally move on to other stuff.

You can believe me or not, but I promise you it's Kai. 2 - The cult group was almost certainly not planned until after Christmas. Franzesca doesn't show up until New Years, and if belt had planned this sooner he would've had Tine join the cult rather than Lene, because Tine stopped going to school, then got a text from them shortly thereafter. It wouldn't been an ideal time to have someone disappear and up the ante of the mystery, but belt didn't because he probably hadn't made the cult at that point. 3 - A protagonist missing some details on plot events is very different from them being completely divorced from it. Nikolai has no clue the wg cult is a thing, he has no idea Kai and Maja have a vendetta against him, and he never questions any of the bbw modelling stuff that Eli has roped him into. He's a main character with zero drive or awareness for any of the plot threads despite the story being over halfway done. It's bad writing. Period. 4 - The upload schedule makes it worse, but even ignoring that, the comics writing quality is sketchy at best. Mundane events are horribly dragged out, while important plot or fanservice is wrapped up in less time. Belt cannot pace himself, neither in his work schedule or the content in said work. 5 - If belt's jaded on the domino effect, then he won't admit it. He's adamant its the main reason for running his patreon and that if he stopped doing the comic he'd just close it entirely.

Kai was also in the voice chat with Emma and Nikolia when Dryad entered too. If what you say is true, then Kai must have been doubling as Dryad during the 5 hours that they were playing that MMO, disguised his voice to sound feminine while speaking under the Dryad account, sounded natural when speaking from his personal account, all while sounding convincing enough to apparently fool both Nikolia and Emma. Yeah, I find it hard to believe that someone could pull that off. Ether Kai is apparently super capable of online deception, has a secret accomplice who is also named Kai, or Kai being Dryad himself is just a lie. If this was what Belt Buster had intended all along, perhaps he will redo part 20 too.

It's not indicative of being the same person, its just someone whose identity is being kept secret. In parts 6, 7 and 11 (when Andre took Lene to the infirmary) - it's Kai. In part 20, it's Maja.

The idea of redoing the relatively bad early art of the comic is interesting. I was never able to get into the early parts because of it so that's nice for me. It's also a nice excuse for belt to review early parts he hasn't seen in a while that could give him ideas of how to progress the story. Could be he's in a bit of a rut and rather than do nothing he decided to be productive while thinking of a direction to take the comic.

Also while the arts improved on a technical level and tightened up the format, putting Nina here makes her original introduction in part 37.5 (I had to check that lol) feel weird - theres now this weird lack of Nina for 31+ chapters with no explanation. Now either belt leaves this abrupt plot issue that he's caused for no reason, or he redoes even more chapters, which further delays him actually progressing the comics sacrosanct story.

I'm sorry for constantly complaining, but I just have a question. As far as I know, the artist stated that unlike Domino, this comic would focus on weight gain rather than the story. So why has the body size remained static for over 10 pages even in this comic? The level of weight gain matches the female characters in Domino exactly. In fact, that's the exact state the female characters in Domino have been stuck at for years.

The glacial pace of Sigrid's gain was completely predictable to me, because belt's proven he cannot focus narratives, or pace things properly. I also recall that, about a year or two ago, belt mentioned on his server that he was leaning to preferring 'smaller' (aka not ssbbw) sizes, which probably isn't helping things. He's more than likely purposefully plateauing the characters gains (whether he realises it or not) because its his preference.

Unlike other artists, this artist is exceptionally good at drawing massive rolls of fat and SSBBW+ bodies—while plenty of artists can draw chubby characters, most of them look very awkward when trying to depict massive bodies weighing hundreds of kilograms. That's why it's such a shame that the characters' growth just stops at a chubby or slightly heavy BBW size

It's more than reasonable to call out how its hitting the same sort of plateau in growth and pacing that domino effects suffered when it was supposed to avoid this issue. Belt should just rebrand to avoid misleading people any further. Weight gain and bbws are clearly an afterthought to him now, so why even bother entertaining the notion he wants to draw them?

Domino Effect part 7 (remake)

Here is the explanation I promised as to why I remade part 6 and 7; 
All of the story is basically planned and done for, But in the parts 6 and 7, it was really annoying to deal with the fact that; Tanya saw and interacted with this mysterious person.
This fact basically rouse up a lot of logical problems and fixes I tried to solve.
Questions like; "How come Tanya haven't seen this person again? At this point she should technically have seen them again" etc. I tried to come up with different fixes, but lot of them felt cheap and "out of the left field" so to say. That's why I decided to just change these two parts instead.
I still have to adjust other parts based on these remakes, like:
- I have to edit the Cafe talk between Nikolai and Tanya (just text edits)
- Edit the part at the halloween party where the mysterious silhouette appeared.
- And other details I have to edit with these new facts. C ya in the next part with the start of the new arc! 
(Anne Marie is gonna be there after a long time!)

The fact she no longer knows who it was (compared to the original where she clear met the person face-to-face) makes her inaction seem stupid. It's fine if Belt WANTS that, but too much of that mentality takes focus away from what the target audience wants. Too much of it leads to a comic that is so clunky and restricted that it has to move 15 chess moves before it gets to any kind of payoff(this is what pixiveo's comic is burdened with). Which might be okay if you're writing for something like Breaking Bad where the smaller interactions matter more, but we're talking about a weight gain comic here where the audience generally just wants that. I genuinely believe its better mental health for both the artist AND the reader to take in the dopamine from new, pointed, shorter comics.

Both do come from the fact that Tanya has the be naive, but I like the remake explanation more. Since now the perpetrator can stop giving her stuff but also made Tanya fall back into her old habits. Which works as well.

Tanya now knows there is something explicitly suspicious going on and that she's been very blatantly deceived. The last feelings she's left with over the constant gifts she's eaten is confusion and guilt. The fact she doesn't seek out answers is an insult to her intelligence. This is in stark contrast to the original. Tanya is shown to be initially suspicious of the mystery person's intentions, but this fades with time as the mystery person gives her more each passing day. Any distrust or suspicions Tanya has fades over a believable timeframe of the food just being food. It's completely reasonable that Tanya doesn't look into this further because she isn't left feeling like there's anything to even look into in the first place!
