As much as I'd like to agree with you, I don't think Kip was ever good at drawing 'proper' fat girls. He's a one-trick pony: all of his bellies look the same. What's actually distinct about his style is how much he likes to render the fat fold that forms around the flare of the rib cage (made more visible on people with bad posture), and that's always been present in his works, even at SSBBW sizes. All of his figures have long torsos as a result. When you start making note of this it's hard not to see it every time.
