Who cares that Olivia should have had a justified crash out towards Brooke over the latter ghosting her for weeks, barely giving her the time of day and being the root of her rebound, along with calling her past life of lazing about easier? Let's just make it so Tipping the Scales barely mattered besides Brooke ballooning and how it wasn't about the weight even though Olivia was giddy about getting to 250 at the end of Tipping, making her a less interesting Nat in the process (which in 2026 is impressive from Salt). Who cares if Brooke could have had an interesting angle as a toxic roommate/friend for causing her supposed best friend to rebound after years of progress (debatable to this kink) while, again, ghosting her for weeks, and calling her old life easier? Let's just sweep that under the rug because three dimensional characters can't exist in these types of comics and make her a less interesting Sammy except she's a slob. Who cares if the first half of this comic was about getting Brooke to lose weight? Nah this is a fetish comic son, we need them fatter, eventually, maybe. Who cares that with 2 pages to go and wasting it on a double spread at the gym they're never going back to for more than 15 minutes Salt realized oh wait I need some fat fetish content in this fat fetish comic? Let's just pull an Itsuki for the tacked on last minute three pages and just have them be stuffed instead where Brooke barely looks any larger. Who cares if Salt's bad habits with comics (poor pacing, pages feeling wasted, plots being haphazard when not straight to the point) continue to fester? They'll just swallow their slop because when a big name artist posts you take it no questions asked while Lucyguy and Areku let it happen because God forbid Salt draw Lucy and Welrod slightly less than normal if they intervened. For a fetish comic it gets the job done, slapped together and stumbles to the finish line but it's done well enough. As a continuation of Tipping the Scales and as a comic in general it's just mediocre. 6.5/10 for the potential to be better than it actually is (giving Olivia an actual personality, genuine conflict that doesn't get waved away 2-3 pages later, committing to its initial premise), but man does it feel like Salt just gave up right at the finish line.

I genuingly now have zero expectation for future comic projects, hes good at sequences and standalone art but comic making is just not in him, the patreon hivemind is just gonna glaze this turd and further cimenting Salt problems, in a vicious circle. God willing hell never touch Couple Stuff ever again cuss he can only make that comic series worse. ...and thats it, he sucks at this, no complex conclusion or hope for improvement, he has been able to make a good comic in 3 years, i think is enough.

The last 5 pages makes it feel like Salt realized just before the ending that nothing happened in the whole comic so he tried to course correct hard, problem is that he invalidated everything about the plot beforehand which was already a nothingburger. Next time he should try to have the whole thing mapped out before starting because this one felt almost like he was brainstorming the story page by page without much of a plan. Also, this was the chance to give these characters an actual personality but now I don't want to see them ever again
