Also want to get an analysis on how US commercials use Sumo wrestlers versus Japanese ads with Sumo wrestlers.
Would one say, Sumo wrestlers in US ads are fat jokes with some racism. Just how goofy and weird Sumo is and of how obese men in loincloths are somehow a sport. As well as using how big and huge they are to get something across about a product in a commercial? I heard of the lack of a match and no wrestlers doing a match. Rather than have them do a sumo match, it's just use them as props for an ad. More here's how big and fat they are and how immense they are and to use that to sell a product.
How would one describe how a Japanese ad uses sumo wrestlers? Does it to use the wrestlers size to get something across about a product? To use them for surreality sake?
