I think it's a good idea. Weren't there statues at the Met Gala or something depicting plus sized women? I remember that got some buzz.

You know what? I have been thinking something very similar/identical. My ADD brain makes me obsess over new hobbies and interests very regularly. A couple of years ago I actually went through with starting one of these hobbies (rather than just watching a bunch of tutorials and getting bored with it), and started drawing/painting. This then quickly led to me combining my obsession with fat/curvy women and art. Now, as an artist and human, I believe everybody has this inner craving to leave a permanent mark on this earth. And for me, I'd love to leave this lasting mark in the form of paintings and sculptures of fat women. One thing I would like to avoid, however, is getting my art misrepresented as works depecting surreal/idloized godesses rather than real-life women (or women who could very well be real in the 21st century). So I'd hate for people (or down the line archeologists) to go look at my work and categorize it as a modern-day Venus von Willendorf depicting some mythical fertility goddess. Long story short, I’d love to eventually try and sell some of my artworks (and down the line perhaps clay/bronze(?) sculptures) at craft fairs/art markets or something along that line. But for now: 1) I’m probably going to have to learn how to paint with oil paints or acrylics to make my paintings more sellable/valuable and differentiate them from AI slop 2) Work on my originality in my work and figure out backgrounds -.- 3) I’m still stuck doing my masters in CS for now and living with my parents, so even the act of drawing larger ladies is quite risky at times, let alone trying to hide large canvases depicting SSBBW-sized women 4) My town is quite small, and thus I’d probably run into some ppl who either know me directly or my parents when trying to sell any of this at craft fairs Anyways, coming back to your question: Yes, I’d 100% try and persue this idea further if I were you! I visited Germany over the summer and I passed by this art store that was selling a bunch of plus sized female statues prominently displayed in the front window. There's definitely a market for it.

Although I think there's a difference between the more racy/fetishiy more realistic stuff I lean towards and this more abstracted (almost cartoony) stuff that reduces women to blobs. On that note: One of my mum's friends, upon me showing her some of my art (not the fetishy stuff), commented this: "Oh, you like Nanas, huh?". Nanas refers to a group of three fat women sculptures in Hannover (see pic attached). What I would someday like to achieve is something like the sculpture "Confident One" by Vasyl Korchovy in Lviv (see pics). This "raw" look at a severely obese woman with all her "imperfections" (which I guess many of us are attracted to...lol) has something magical yet vulnerable to it. >>92027 I personally am fully on board with your message, but then again, try explaining this to a Polish conservative, fatphobic, catholic mother. I frequently disagree with her on this idea of needing to do the "right" thing/dress a certain way/etc. to meet societal expectations. With her own struggles with mild obesity after her last pregnancy 20+ years ago, she has made countless attempts at (crash) dieting and is stuck in this sort of self-hatred spiral, as she constantly feels the need to compare herself to others, and in her mind the worst possible thing is to give up diet culture. This shows in the way she sometimes talks about relatives like her significantly fatter female cousin who seems more “at peace” with her weight. This doesn’t sit right with my mom and gives her a sense of superiority, because she is at least trying to do something about her weight while some people (i.e., her cousin) gave up trying. I don't even wanna know how she'd react if she did see any of my racy nsfw art featuring SSBBW-sized women. Side note: Said cousin happens to be a delusional pathological liar who constantly starts drama, so despite the occasional crash diet my mum is actually the level headed one out of the two. One time she caught me looking at a pic of @nerdycurvyandthriving aka Emily Walden (as a reference for a painting); she said something along the lines of: "Stop looking at her...She's way too fat for such a young age.".

>>88643 Just come to Spain and enjoy Fernando Botero's art. It's that easy. But if you want to carve your own art I would recomend clay as is cheap and you can ,ke your own figurines and sculptures.
