My brother is into fat chicks I know this for a fact, so maybe there is some genetic component but it could also be simply because we grew up in the same household. Probably worth mentioning none of the prominent women in either of our lives are fat in any way. I have a suspicion my cousin on my dads side is into it as his girlfriend is pretty fat but nothing concrete. Overall I'd lean on it being a mix of both, where certain people are probably more predisposed to this fetish, as basically everything about you is determined by your genetics in some sense, however someone's Circumstances can push someone towards feederism also.

A topic i can weigh in on haha! So i have a sister who i suspect is also into this fetish, but i have obviously never asked because thats just really weird. But like 5 years ago she started dating her boyfriend, and since they have gotten together she absolutely ballooned. Like she used to be in like decent shape, but is now obese. Seeing that unfold in front of me was pretty wild, and i have a very big suspicion she is a gainer/feedee and her bf is a feeder.

I have had a lifelong attraction for the extreme side of obesity. And as far as I know I am the only one in my family with this attraction. Every other guy on both sides of my family have only been with thin women and I am the only one with a fat wife.

this would be an interesting question for people who study genetics, but anonymous anecdotes are cool too.

I certainly did not inherit it from my father. Even at his old age when he first had a laptop but did not know how to hide his search history, I found out he only looked up skinny girls. My brother has mainly been with skinny girls as well. His wife used to be a bit chubbier, lost 20kg and became really skinny. He never compqlained about that or tried to reverse it. Now after his divorce he is back with someone a bit chubbier as well, but I wouldn’t call him a FA. I don’t think it is inherited. I think it is probably something relatively insignificant that happened in our early childhood that triggered something. My mother was skinny, but maybe something bad happened and I was comforted by a big soft teacher or carer or so that triggered something? No idea, but I think it is something along these. lines.
