From what I've heard it goes the other way as well. Fat men refuse to date fat women and in some cases, actively hate fat women despite being fat themselves.

Because women are hypocritical, but also fat is feminine which most of the time doesn't look good on them(unless that's your thing). Men should be muscly and strong not dainty and fat, leave that for women. If you think about it getting fat is like bodybuilding for women.

Can buy it as internalized fatphobia to show they don't have to "settle" for fellow fatties or defy societies ideas that the only people they can date is fellow fat people. Some fat women may prefer to get it on with skinny dudes or hunks and to show that their only dating pool isn't only limited to fellow fat people. If they internalize the double standard that fat men can exist, but women being fat is a horrible sin. Like the scene in family guy when Lois gains weight and she says peter is fatter than she is, and he responds "Lois, fat men aren't fat, fat women are fat".

Being fat is a feminine trait, so its understandable that heterosexual women, regardless of their own weight would not find it attractive. The more estrogen your body has, the more of your body mass will be fat, and vice versa with testosterone. They don't like fat men for the same reason that you most likely don't like incredibly ripped or muscular women. It signals a hormonal imbalance and poor health. Most fat guys I see that have an easy time getting women are usually fat but with a good deal of muscle underneath. But if you're just some big blob tub of lard with a beer gut, yeah you're fucked.

If you were to look at it statistically I'm sure obese women are probably more likely to be in a relationship with an obese man than a skinny woman. The real problem for me isn't people being attracted to what they're attracted to, even if you're fat you're still likely going to be attracted to what is the "norm". My issue is when fat chicks hate guys who have an actual fat fetish, like I don't get it you'd rather want to be (and fail to be) with a guy who likes regular chicks and is repulsed by your body? Always has baffled me, and don't push the whole "its objectifying them", lol no the first basis for attraction is looks, if you're not attracted to what you're looking it its not going to really go far relationship wise (or at least not heathily).

Some of it could be the fear that the only reason they can get laid is if they're a man's fetish object, that men only date them to fetishize their bodies and they can't have anything beyond a sexual relation or are a man's sex object. That they can't find men who love them beyond their bodies. It can be self-loathing if they hate their bodies and dislike being desired if they feel that the parts of their bodies they hate are desired and feel they don't desire love. As well as discomfort towards parts of their body that they dislike being seen as sexy. Some can dislike us and view us as perverts saying gross stuff. But there are fat women who don't mind us, as long as we don't say or do something truly gross. But there are fat women who dislike us for reasons I gave and many more.

As a chubby guy myself (6’ & 290ish) I’ve never had any trouble pulling any women (whether it be now or when I was thin) it’s a mindset more than a physical attribute. If you own your size & don’t let it own you (be confident & assertive) you’ll have no trouble approaching most women. The problem is that most fat guys are shy, unconfident & incredibly insecure which is going to repel most encounters 🤷♂️

Exactly not all women are the same, makes me wonder if stuff like this is done by angry trolls who have issues with women. When not all women are the same. there are fat women who fantasize about banging fat men out there, it's hard to say how common it is but they are out there.
