DA was never that great of a site, but it seems they've fallen off big time. Not sure if it'll survive the 2020s. Big shame because they're the only dedicated art site that's a popular as they are. The only other one thst comes close is FurAffinity which has a much more niche focus. I went onto Rule34xxx and looked up the tags for the characters: The copyright tag for Shantae has 11,483 results while the tag for the character has 9,135. Risky has only 1,379. Rotty has 1,350. Sky has 398. Twitch has 83. Vinegar has 82. Holly has 22 As you can see imminently, there is a massive disparity between the amount of images of Shantae and the second most popular character. If you round to the nearest thousand, there's only one image of Risky for every nine images of Shantae. This saddens me because Risky is super hot. Shantae makes up around 80% of all posts relating to her series, while Risky only makes up about 12%. And keep in mind, like most booru sites, the tags list for each post on R34 lists EVERY character featured in an image, even if they're just in the background. The problem is likey worse than it seems because of the heavy amount of overlap Shantae herself has with images featuring other characters from her series.

They're not used alot in the games (in fact, I think there's only one where they're important, that being Pirate's Curse (which I highly recommend)). They're pretty fun, though. I just wish the devs would use them more. The villain they serve is also my favorite villains so that make it even more frustrating. Anyway, thanks for these!
